Job description

Global Organisation seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join its team based in West London. The Accounts Payable Clerk would require 4 years plus experience within Accounts Payable, be confident, organised and able to multi task.

Duties of the Accounts Payable Clerk include:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely process of all operational invoices (2400 approximately per month).

  • Processing all other invoices (PO, ad hoc, etc.) and credit notes and ensuring they're coded correctly in the system.

  • Build positive relationships with and manage expectations of suppliers.

  • Ensure that suppliers are paid accurately and on time.

  • Collating payment proposals for review and entering onto the bank.

  • Processing payment runs in multi currencies.

  • Manage invoice/payment queries.

  • Ensure that all payments are recorded daily and accurately.

  • Check aged creditors report, working with team to ensure items aged items are kept to a minimum

  • Requesting receipt of statements to reconcile supplier accounts.

  • Month end process of expense through a journal entry

  • Supporting queries from wider finance team over the month end.

  • Manage the AP inbox.

  • Provide support and holiday cover to the AP team.

  • Assist with audit (internal/external).

  • Ad hoc duties and reports, as required.


Requirements for the Accounts Payable Clerk include:
