Accounts Payable Manager | Media Agency | West London | Hybrid Working
KennedyPearce is working with a dynamic and fast-paced media agency based in West London to hire an Accounts Payable Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a creative, lively, and professional finance team operating within the entertainment and media industry. This role will manage 2 Accounts Payable Clerks.
As Accounts Payable Manager, you'll take ownership of the AP function, ensuring timely and accurate processing across multiple entities. You'll lead a small team and play a vital role in driving efficiency, maintaining strong controls, and delivering a first-class finance service to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable function
Ensure accurate and timely processing of all AP transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Oversee the AP mailboxes, delivering high levels of internal and external service
Manage weekly payment runs, reviewing and approving supplier payments
Approve supplier invoices, manual journals, and expense claim postings (via Concur)
Review credit card expenses and follow up on outstanding claims
Maintain and reconcile aged creditor reports, resolving any discrepancies
Lead the AP month-end close process
Continuously review and improve AP processes and controls
Support statutory audit processes by preparing relevant documentation and schedules
Provide training on expense management systems (Concur) to the wider business
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment, expense, and supplier issues
Participate in wider finance and system improvement projects
About You
5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of accounting and VAT principles
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Concur is a plus
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
