About the role

Due to a change in business structure, there is now a requirement for a Assistant Financial Accountant to join the team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will focus on managing the organisation's financial and accounting operations.

The incumbent will be an excellent communicator across all levels within the business, managing one direct report.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

Managing the monthly sales, financial and board reporting

• Month end journal processing, balance sheet reconciliations, expense variance analysis
• Assisting with cash flow management and planning
• Assisting with annual budgets and forecasts
• Preparation of Statutory reporting obligations

Skills & experience

• Part Qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Minimum 3 years Financial Management experience in industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• High level Excel skills and extensive use of other accounting packages
• Energetic and motivated personality with great multi-tasking
• Excellent organisation and administration skills
• Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Advanced analytic software skills
• General IT and Communications management experience
