Job description

Our client who are a members organisation ate looking to hire a Facilities and AV assistant which is a brand new head count! This is an integral role into the management and delivery of our clients room hire and team offices. As part of the Front of House team, the Facilities & AV Assistant will report to the Front of House Supervisor.

Hours: 07:30-4:30pm (sometimes evening and weekend functions are held, in which case overtime is paid)


  • Provide AV set up and support to all building users
  • 1st point of contact for London IT issues and liaising with Head of ICT
  • Meeting room and audio-visual set-up/dismantling arrangements
  • General office and facilities support
  • Responsible for unlocking or locking the building
  • Movement of incoming and outgoing goods and post in a timely manner
  • Management of stock levels and ordering new stock if necessary
  • Handling of minor elements of maintenance of the building and its contents including telephones and photocopiers, coffee machines, clocks, lights, walls, doors, lift, signs, and furniture etc
  • Responsible for weekly fire alarm testing
  • Switchboard cover when required
  • Complying with and support of all health and safety regulations
  • Assisting with the distribution and clearing of lunches and refreshments.
  • Removal of rubbish
  • Some cleaning may be required
  • Any other duties, including help for other departments, as requested by senior members of the House team

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent IT and AV experience
  • Reliability and good punctuality
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to act as part of a team

All members of the team are expected to provide excellent and consistent customer care to all visitors. We would also expect that all House staff will have a first aid & Fire Marshal qualification (appropriate training will be given)
