KennedyPearce are working with a leading charitable organisation who are hiring a Management Accountant/ Finance Business Partner to join the team. This role will look after an operating budget of circa £70 million. This role sits within a team of 10 reporting into a Senior Accountant.

The role:

• Provide proactive financial partnering to budget holders, officers, employees and divisional leaders supporting and advising on financial management matters, operational decision making, driving organisational performance and building financial capability
• Work with the relevant stakeholders in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and longer terms financial plans (3-5 years), to agreed timetable assumptions and strategic priorities. These will be reviewed and updated annually in line with the organisational objectives.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, forecast for the year and prepare management accounts and informative commentary for your budget holders. Ensure all issues and risks are highlighted to the Senior Management Accountant - Social, the Head of Management Accounting and unit heads as appropriate.
• Prepare and present management accounts (including commentaries) and other relevant data to budget holders and departments/units, meeting them on a monthly/quarterly basis to explain and verify variances and forecasts.
• Provide advice and where necessary training to budget holders on financial matters and the proactive use of management information.
• Undertake the relevant journal approvals process, ensure effective financial controls are in place and adhered to and ensure the procedures outlined in the Finance Manuals are being followed, making necessary recommendations for updates to these as required.
• Ensure all risk and issues are shared.

The candiate:

• Must be qualified- ACCA/ CIMA OR CCAB
• Significant excperience as a Management Accountant with Finance business Partnering
