Job description

A fast-growing property investment and development group is seeking a proactive and analytical Finance Manager to support the performance of its nationwide real estate portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and enjoys solving complex financial and operational challenges.

About the Role

You will play a key role across the finance function - managing day-to-day operations, reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance - while working closely with senior management to support strong investment decisions and financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Flow & Credit Control: Oversee rent collection, supplier payments, and rolling cash-flow forecasting; manage aged debtors and escalations.

  • Cost Management: Monitor OPEX/CAPEX, analyse variances, and drive efficiency initiatives to maximise asset performance.

  • Financial Operations: Ensure accurate ledgers and reconciliations; lead month-end close; prepare statutory accounts and VAT returns.

  • Deal Support & Analysis: Assist with transactions, due diligence, financial modelling (DCF, IRR, NPV), valuations, and market research.

  • Reporting: Produce clear financial reports, support budgeting and reforecasting, and contribute to investor and compliance reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • A part-qualified or qualified accountant

  • Experience in finance - particularly within private equity, real estate, or property management - is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel ability, and solid understanding of UK accounting standards.

  • Familiarity with systems such as Xero, Re-leased, or MRI is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to learn and grow.
