Job description

Amazing opportunity with an excellent brand to join as an FP&A Manager, part of the senior leadership team, managing a team of 6. They key part of this role is to drive insight and analysis across Marketing, Operations and Retail to guide management in shaping operational and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate financial and operational insight that supports the key decision makers, proactively identifying risks and opportunities and offering advice and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Drive the budgeting and reforecasting process across the P&L from sales, customer and marketing spend modelling, gross margin and operational costs.
  • Develop and continually improve financial and forecasting models and KPI reporting to support the evolving demands and priorities of the business.
  • Guide the business to make decisions to maximise profitability through in-depth margin analysis and thorough understanding of profitability drivers, category mixes, promotional decisions and the impact of longer-term product strategies.
  • Business partner to senior budget holders to ensure they deliver on their targets and investigate and understand key variances to plan.
  • As a senior manager, play a key role in the overall skillset development of the FP&A team through both effective direct line management and acting as a mentor to the wider team by sharing insights and experience.

The candidate:

  • Qualified accountant with at least 5 years' experience working in FP&A or Commercial Finance, ideally with ecommerce exposure.
  • Depth of experience partnering with digital marketing/ merchandising/operations
  • Strong analytical skills; data driven with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the with the ability to create and improve financial models
  • Ability to break down large data sets into clear and concise conclusions
