Job description

Global FX & Payments company based in the City of London, are looking to recruit a Head of Operations on a Fixed Term contract which could last up to 12 months. In this position, you'll be responsible for overseeing the smooth day to day operations of our client across Europe. Leading the delivery of key strategic initiatives, the role is to ensure the business is well supported to meet its agreed goals and objectives whilst seeking opportunities to drive efficiencies and maximise profitability.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Operations will include;

  • Lead the Global Operations teams - Payments, Settlements & Client Services.
  • Oversee the customer funds in and funds out experience
  • Deliver improvements in service and product
  • Maintain counterparty relationships in concert with Trading teams
  • Maintain and develop an operational control environment
  • Ensure operational policies and procedures align to the appropriate regulatory environments
  • Assist with the creation and formation of Business Cases, supporting with the assessment of effort, cost and complexity
  • Manage a programme of global business projects with the support of the delivery, BA and PM teams
  • Define and qualify which projects the business should prioritise, based on deliverables and resources, challenging assumptions where ambiguity exists
  • Hold operational critical suppliers accountable to defined SLAs and service agreements
  • Ensure critical suppliers are managed appropriately
  • Operations and business incident management, ensuring alignment with Business Continuity Management processes
  • Maintain property portfolio, with the support of the UK Operations Manager
  • Provide support and input to business projects outside of the Business / Operations Roadmap where required
  • Provide relevant support where required on regulatory and financial audits
  • Responsibility of departmental invoices and expenses in line with agreed department budgets
