Job description

Investment management business are recruiting for a Systems Accountant. You will report to the Finance Director.

As a Systems Accountant you will be responsible for:

  • Work with the Head of Finance and Operations and the Finance and Asset Management Teams to leverage technology in the most efficient manner
  • Integrally contribute to developing technology tools (eg data warehousing, automated project management, report writing) to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations
  • Administer the Horizon system, including training and development, and the testing and adoption of the regular service pack updates
  • Front line support for internal and external users of the Horizon property management software and responsibility for helpdesk calls with the software providers to ensure issues are resolved in good time
  • Production of monthly and ad hoc reports for inclusion in quarterly and other ad hoc reports and presentations
  • On-board new projects and third-party agents, including working with all stakeholders to ensure the SPV structure and requirements are met within the system

Experience necessary:

  • Experienced user of property management systems, Horizon a key advantage but at least a similar system essential, including leasing transactions, onboarding, data transfer, VAT returns (including Making Tax Digital) and supplier payments
  • Familiarity with and a keen interest in technology
  • Demonstrable experience working in a Real Estate/Property Investment firm and business acumen
  • Clear and concise communication skills in both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear manner to those not familiar with technology
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team in an efficient manner and to tight deadlines, often in response to critical business issues

This role will look up to pay up to £75,000 as well as offering up to 40% bonus, pension and healthcare.
