Job description
Global Insurance Company based in the City of London, are looking to recruit a Treasury Analyst to join their expanding Investments & Treasury Department.
Main responsibilities will include;
- Maintaining daily cash flows along with recommending and executing appropriate action for effective management of treasury
- Monitor surplus cash balances in global entities for profitable investment opportunities
- Prepare, analyse and circulate weekly cash reports for monthly cash flow summary and analysis
- Preparation of weekly/monthly case forecasts and explain the movements and utilisation while liaising with banks for accounts, deposits, redemption and transfers
- Prepare, implement and maintain controls over bank reconciliations
- Liaise with credit control teams in London & Germany for timely manual payments and prompt booking of receipts
- Facilitate new LOC issuance and/or amendments between technical teams and respective banks
- Maintain LOC records for analysis and up-to-date exposure
- Monthly distribution of LOC positions to internal stakeholders
- Bank account opening and maintenance for all global entities, including semi-annual KYC requirements
- Assisting Investment Operations with cash movement splits for monthly reporting purposes
- Providing Investment/cash related data to finance teams required for regulatory reporting
To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience, qualifications and skills;
- Must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in finance, treasury or a related field
- CAIA Charter Holder/ACCA/CFA level 1 candidate
- Knowledge and understanding of Treasury markets, Banking operations and how they operate
- 1-3 years post-qualification experience within the Insurance, Corporate. Treasury department
- Ability to manage and negotiate with all stakeholders at different levels, experience of preparing managerial reports
