My client, a leader in the Property field is looking for an Accountant to join their ever growing team. Due to the current climate this role will be on a Contract to Perm basis.

Joining a team of of 4 Accountants and reporting into the Head of Accounting your main duties & responsibilities will be:

· Delivery of centre accounting and month end procedures

· Month end close

· Accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and commentary on key variances in performance to budget and forecast

· Lead quarterly finance reviews to ensure operating costs are in line with budget and to manage risks and opportunities

· Support the team in ensuring operating costs are in line with budget and to manage risks and opportunities

· Preparation of the annual Service Charge Budget and Service Charge Reconciliation packs

· Assist the Head of Accounting in the preparation of annual service charge, operating expense, and management income budgets and quarterly forecasts

· Preparation of statutory financial statements, tax packs, VAT and CIS returns including engagement with other finance departments

· Aid with the Statutory Reporting

· Assist in the engagement with external auditors in the local UK statutory, group and service charge audits

· Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls as required (e.g. SAP ERP implementation)

The Candidate

· Qualified accountant OR Finalist ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent

· Straight from Practice with property clients OR industry experience

· Able to work from home and two different locations in London

· Experience working with operational or business stakeholders is required

· Experience communicating with non-finance stakeholders, with demonstrated ability to simplify complex issues

· Highly organised and can prioritise work load appropriately

· Advanced Excel skills - experience with large datasets is highly advantageous

· Previous experience within large Property businesses is desirable
