Job description

My client a well-established Property Advisory firm, operating nationally, with nine offices and partner firms covering 20 European countries and all major US markets, are looking for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their West Malling office on a permanent basis, working 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management, development and leadership of the CPMF
  • Prepare client reporting packs
  • Preparing Funds Reqests to clients
  • Finalising payments to clients
  • Managing subtenant income rent raising
  • Processing turnover rent calculation
  • Managing Account Assistants, ensuring AP is delivered
  • Oversight of cashiering
  • Compliance with RICS accounting rules
  • Enhancing accounting systems and processes; working closely with the Head of Client Accounting and the IT development team

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Significant relevant hands-on property management accounting experience
  • Corporate occupier exposure desirable
  • Part-qualification or qualified, eg ACCA /CIMA or AAT qualification desirable
  • Highly Numerate
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Previous experience of managing a team highly
  • Experience of using computer-based property management accounting systems,
  • Keeping up to date with changes in accounting practice, legislation and RICS accounting rules.
  • Technically astute
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Used to working in a fast moving environment, providing accurate and timely information to a high standard
  • Excellent spreadsheet and financial modelling skills
  • Strong interpersonal ability coupled with rapport building, effective listening, questioning and summarising skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent client care
  • Commercial awareness and acumen
  • Planning and prioritising skills
  • A high degree of flexibility and the ability to adapt to unexpected changes initiated by either the client or the department
