Our Client a leading Insurance business in the City are looking to hire an Assistant Accountant. Our client offers great benefits including full study support for your ACCA/CIMA/AAT studies and hybrid working (2 days in the office).

As Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Processing, reviewing, and posting purchase and sales invoices
• Preparing and reviewing payment runs
• Preparation of journals, validating regular monthly journals such as accruals and prepayments, depreciation and handling ad hoc manual journals as necessary
• Responsible for key balance sheet reconciliations such as fixed assets, intercompany, leases et
• Preparing weekly cashflow forecasts
• Preparation of quarterly VAT reports and liaising with external Tax advisors for filings
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial processes
• Assist in annual audit with external auditors and internal auditors.
• Conducting ad hoc reporting and analysis to support decision-making processes
