Our Client is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to join its expanding team. The Successful candidate would be an AAT studier or a part qualified ambitious accountant who is looking to progress their career. This role would suit a candidate at entry level with strong academics and an interest in pursuing a career in accountancy.

The Assistant Financial Accountant would be assisting the Financial Reporting team with the following duties:

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and connected personal tax returns for clients
• Monitoring and updating status of jobs as well as providing solutions to any workflow issues
• Reviewing and tracking statutory and client deadlines whilst updating Karbon, our workflow management system and client database
• Ensuring that all final products and services delivered to clients meet the required standards
• Contributing ideas to improve processes, efficiency and services for the business and our clients
• Resolving client and senior management queries using initiative to act before being prompted
• Managing your own workflow and the workflow of a junior associate whilst also acting as their role model

Requires for the Assistant Financial Accountant include:

• A-B GCSE grades in English and Maths
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivation and confidence in managing a busy workload
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Studying AAT or ACCA/CIMA/ACA
