Global Organisations urgently seeks an experienced Credit Controller to join their business on a temporary basis. The Credit Controller would require 3 years plus experience within credit control. Previously worked within an EMEA team or global multi-site environment.

Duties of the Credit Controller include:

• Opening and maintaining customer accounts, ensuring that control procedures are adhered to and that all information in the IT systems (Bullhorn, Xero/Sage, and Timesheet Portal) is kept up to date.
• Monitor ledgers to ensure that all invoices and payments are posted promptly, and that payment is made as required by the relevant credit terms.
• Ensuring all transactions are authorised in accordance with the relevant control procedures across five company ledgers
• Daily bank and control account reconciliations.
• Presiding over the credit worthiness of prospective and the existing portfolio of customers with corporate policies and risk management strategy, advising the Sales team of any changes.
• Responsible for the proactive controls to ensure the organisation is not exposed to future uncollectable debts and oversight of the debt collection process and where appropriate the collection of customer debts as they fall due.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to our invoice discounting providers

Skills required for the Credit Controller position:

• Works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiar with P/L processes of international blue-chip clients e.g., share service centres
• Experience of self-bill clients and chasing remittance advice for allocating cash
• Good spoken and written communication skills when dealing with clients, contractors, and sales consultants
• Good understanding of excel e.g., lookups
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and cope under pressure
• Used to working in a fast moving and demanding sales, and ideally recruitment
