Job description

Our client is a leading technology company seeking a Part Qualified Finance Analyst to join their growing team.

Under the guidance of the Senior Analyst, the Finance Analyst acts as a trusted advisor to the London office. This position is built around teamwork, working in a collaborative environment to meet various stakeholder requirements.

The role is critical in providing support to the London office on all aspects of project management including understanding of case economics, reporting of current and forward-looking financial performance, as well as identifying and managing risk exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurately updating weekly venture reporting ensuring all actuals and Staffing projections are captured for all assigned ventures
  • Support Venture GM's interpreting venture performance, analysing fees/volume variances and communicating this to leadership group
  • Monitoring venture performance against contractual milestones and KPI's, adjusting Revenue recognition accordingly
  • Expenses management: forecasting, monitoring, approving and leveraging supplier relationships
  • Update consolidated venture tracking reports to support leadership visibility of venture performance

Other duties

  • Generate client invoices in Time & Billing system on a timely and accurate basis
  • Proactively following up client teams to ensure outstanding debtors recovered within payment terms
  • Update and provide commentary on weekly AR/WIP reporting to ensure all stakeholders are kept abreast of risk exposure
  • Providing expert guidance to on DSO management
  • Posting weekly time sheets for all active contractors against appropriate case codes, according to Staffing allocations
  • Capturing time sheet billings and costs for individual vendors and posting corrections where necessary
  • Analysing vendor markups, costs, volumes etc. and communicate to broader finance team
  • Maintaining London T&B system to ensure all codes and employee profiles are timely and accurately updated
  • Ad-hoc analysis as directed by Finance leadership

Requirements

  • Exceptional out of the box thinking and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build excellent working relationships with stakeholders and with geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proactive self-starter, with ability to work with limited supervision
  • Strong financial analysis, business planning and accounting knowledge
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in the use of accounting applications and database management
  • Strong organisational and process management skills combined with an ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Degree qualification in Business, Finance or related field
  • Studying towards CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent)
