Job description
Exclusive new contract opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join a consultancy business in London. This role is a 3 month contract with potential to extend. WFH policy is 2 days in the office and 3 from home and we are seeking a candidate who can start immediatly. The purpose of this role is to be a key support for the Corporate Services functions, business partnering, monthly close and reporting and monthly close.
The role:
- Manage the recurring monthly accounting tasks in order to accurately and timely close month end - including posting accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations
- Review centrally posted numbers such as payroll, 3rd party costs and performing reconciliation work to ensure in-line with expectations / correct as appropriate
- Manage the inter-company invoicing to ensure that revenue and costs sit in the correct legal entities
- Procurement - work with the team to ensure costs are recognised in the correct category and team
- Fixed asset accounting - ensure that accounting treatment of opex/capex is accurate on an ongoing basis. On a monthly basis, ensure that capex costs are captured in the relevant asset
- Monitor depreciation and provide updates and recommendations to stakeholders
- Review on a continuous basis the trial balance and trading position - highlight anomalies and escalate to assist in resolving for month end.
- Manage the internal finance controls to establish and maintain a robust environment.
- Support the monthly forecasting cycle, working with budget holders to provide short and longer term accurate forecasts underpinned by robust data and trend analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package for the budget holder and FD review. Assist with weekly and monthly reporting and become a point of contact for questions from managers on analysis and questions.
The ideal candidate:
- Working towards, or holds a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Minimum 3 years of related financial, industry experience with demonstration of analytic and information driven experiences
