Job description

My Client is a global leader in delivering fund and corporate services, capital market solutions, private wealth and employee benefit solutions to multinationals, fund managers, financial institutions and business entrepreneurs worldwide.

They are looking for a Financial Account Manager to join the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recording client transactions in designated accounting software, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately
  • Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts
  • Preparation of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP or IFRS
  • Preparation of group consolidated statutory accounts under IFRS
  • Provide Audit assistance, serving as main point of contact for statutory audits of clients
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate execution/verification of client payment instructions in accordance with client agreed upon procedures
  • Responsible for the management of client banking accounts and necessary banking administration
  • Attend clients' meetings and demonstrate professional rapport with all clients
  • Assist with the set-up of newly on-boarded companies
  • Provide open and transparent communication with clients, third party providers (payroll, tax advisors), tax authorities (HMRC), and Companies House
  • Maintain client documents with integrity
  • Accurately record all time spent dealing with client matters to ensure the clients are correctly invoiced

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong technical accounting skills, thorough knowledge of FRS and strong UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge

  • Previous experience in preparing statutory financial statements under UK GAAP
  • Understanding of VAT and experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • The ability to prioritise effectively in order to meet conflicting deadlines within the context of a demanding workload
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, both within finance and a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Desire to continuously improve and streamline processes to make a meaningful contribution to the company's performance
  • ACCA/CIMA candidates

MUST HAVE:

  • Practice background
  • 2-3 years experience in preperation of financial statements - FRS and IFRS
  • Experience in fast moving environment
