Great opportunity to join a thriving Insurance business based in the City who require a Financial and Management Accountant. The company has grown both organically and via acquisition, this is a newly created role due to an increase in work. It offers support from an experienced management team and internally there has been recent success with people being promoted internally in the wider finance department.

You will either be an ACA from Practice or ACCA/CIMA from Industry (Insurance essential).

Role

The role works closely with the Financial Controller and will suit you if you have ambition and desire to grow your career in the Insurance sector. You will need to have reporting experience and IFRS knowledge.

The salary is £55,000 - £60,000 + excellent benefits (15% non contributory pension) and bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop key relationships within the finance team & outsourced service provider

• Preparation of Board packs for International service companies

• Production of group company financial statements

• Production of group company regulatory reporting (UK, Dubai, Singapore)

• Preparation/Review of VAT submissions for local entities

• Budgeting and forecasting

Experience

You will be a Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with IFRS and Insurance experience, either from anther Insurance company (GI, Life, Syndicates and Re-Insurance all considered) or with Insurance clients in practice. You will need to have exceptional interpersonal skills and be proactive, well organised and be a confident communicator.
