Global Organisation is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join its expanding team. The Financial Accountant is a key member of the Financial Reporting Team and is an exciting opportunity to gain further experience whilst working towards an accountancy qualifications

Duties of the Financial Accountant include:

• Drafting the monthly journals and the posting thereof, analysing the monthly position/costs.
• Ensuring that accounting policies are applied consistently and that the Group is fully up to speed with regards to accounting developments and best practice in this area.
• Produce accurate monthly cost/balance sheet reconciliations
• Business partner the EMEA finance team to proactively plan for change and make sure that property accounting is always up to date
• Present the interim/year end support for related costs, prepayments and accruals to the external auditors and work through any resulting queries
• Supporting forecasting and budgeting process
• Prepare month end reporting files and reconcile on SAP
• Support with the preparation of monthly management accounts for key clients
• VAT returns for UK and oversees
• Tax compliance
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts
• Ensure full readiness and future compliance with IFRS 16 - including making sure that the correct entries are reflected within the management/statutory accounts

Requirements for the Financial Accountant include:

• Part Qualified or Newly Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
