A leading restaurant group are seeking a permanent Financial Controller to join their vibrant team. This newly created position will work closely with the management team, auditors and shareholders. Whilst there are no direct reports currently for this role, the role will manage a number of work-streams and have responsibility for the overall control environment across the Commercial Finance Team and Transaction Team and therefore will work closely with a range of finance team members.

Whilst this is a permanent position you must be immediately available in order to be put forward for this role.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Control Environment of the finance team, including accounting policies and work-streams
• Preparation of Statutory Accounts
• Cash flow forecasting & working capital management
• Managing external audit requirements
• Dealing with third party requirements, including banks & shareholders
• The individual will need to be flexible as the role will also include some project work, for example accounting for acquisitions / disposals, impairment assessments and changes in the IFRS standards

Requirements

• Qualified ACA accountant - strongly preferred
• Ideally have moved out of practice and have a few years of in-house experience
• Multi-site experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Technically strong with IFRS accounting
• Able to manage multiple work-streams in a fast paced environment
• Proven ability to form relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Team player willing to roll their sleeves up and get it done
• Able to lead by example and has the tenacity to influence
• Rigorous attention to detail
