Our client is an iconic transportation organisation with a mandate for growth as they navigate through increased demand and international opportunities. This organisation holds their finance team in highest regard and have a clear focus on individual growth and development.

The Role:

Due to the continues growth, they require an energetic Financial Controller to join the finance team on a permeant basis. This team member will be involved across all activities of the function, including:

• Ensure financial records are complete and accurate and reflect underlying business activities and objectives, making sure reporting meets compliant standards with Statutory law and financial regulations.
• Coordinate the preparation of budget and financial reporting for balance sheet and cashflow and support the Head of FP&A with the Annual Business Plan process
• Solely responsible for delivery of annual audits in line with Contract deadlines.
• Responsibility for preparation of annual Financial Statements
• Responsibility for the preparation and distribution of all stakeholder reporting
• Any ad hoc projects as advised by the Finance Director

Requirements:

The role requires an articulate individual with the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels internally, and with external suppliers and stakeholders.

• Qualified accountant (ACA preferable)
• Significant audit experience (preferably big 4 trained)
• Up to date compliance knowledge
• To possess good interpersonal skills to deal with colleagues of all levels
• Computer skills including advanced knowledge and experience of working with Excel and complex accounting systems
