Our client, a global fashion group, is looking to hire a Group Financial Controller. The finance department is responsible for providing key management information, consolidating and reporting of the business. Finance comprises of tax, accounting and control, treasury and internal control areas of expertise. Role and Responsibilities

The suitable candidate will report to the CFO in a broad range of corporate accounting, reporting and related tasks and activities:

• Ensuring completion of Month end Reporting Packages;
• Consolidation and preparation of statutory financial statements for between 2 and 4 audited entities;
• Responsible for Tax Returns, VAT and Intrastat;
• Responsible for budgets and re-estimates for the Retail entities;
• Ensuring timely completion and review of key balance sheet reconciliations;
• Providing support to store managers and people in other Head Office departments as and when required e.g. explanation of figures in store P&Ls and variance to budgets and forecasts;
• Providing the Head of Finance with support on various projects within the business;
• Working closely with External Auditors on the year end audits;
• Preparation of year end statutory accounts;
• Working closely with the Head of Finance to develop procedures and controls; and
• Miscellaneous other accounting projects and providing ad hoc information;

The suitable candidate will also be able to manage and develop Financial Accountants and Assistant Accountants working below them.

Qualifications

Degree in Finance/Business/Economics and an accounting qualification- ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA/ CA/ CAANZ.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a retail company
• Strong team management experience
• Immediate/ Short notice period
