Role: Financial Controller
Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract (with potential extension & possibility of becoming permanent)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic and internationally focused organisation on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, complex operations, and the potential to transition into a longer-term or permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the production and delivery of monthly management accounts
* Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including operational leads and high-net-worth individuals
* Ensure timely production, analysis, and reconciliation of the balance sheet
* Lead the day-to-day management of the finance function, supporting the Head of Finance
* Authorise payments and maintain strong cash controls
* Prepare and present funding requests to clients
* Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes
* Maintain compliance with banking and regulatory requirements
* Implement and maintain robust financial controls to prevent errors and fraud
* Support monthly performance analysis, including operational and capital expenditure
* Review accruals, prepayments and key accounting adjustments
* Play a key role in system development and process improvement
* Apply best practice accounting standards and contribute to policy development
* Lead, manage, and mentor the finance team
* Produce ad hoc financial reporting as required

Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualified accountant (or equivalent) with proven experience in a similar role
* Experience with Sage X3 / Enterprise or similar financial systems
* Advanced Excel capability
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional approach
* Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet deadlines
* Demonstrable experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders
