Job description

Our Client seeks a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join their team of a permanent basis. The FP&A Manager is a newly created role due to expansion and will report into the Head of Finance. The key focus for the FP&A Manager is establishing/improving reporting processes and collaborating closely with stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious FP&A professional.


This is a 'hands-on' role which will require someone with drive and ambition to push through continuous improvement initiatives and be confident in presenting, explaining, and questioning financial information. The FP&A Manager would be a proactive individual who strives to improve process and strategy.

Duties of the FP&A Manager include:

  • Develop and execute the company's financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and market trends.
  • Establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive excellence in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against key performance indicators and benchmarks.
  • Present regular reports to executive leadership, highlighting areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and other departments, to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering financial guidance on business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of various strategic initiatives and recommend courses of action.
  • Develop stress testing scenarios that are commensurate with the business, regulatory needs, and investors to determine capital and liquidity resilience.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, reporting standards, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies if needed.


Requirements for the FP&A Manager include:

  • 4 - 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Financial services sector experience is advantageous however not essential.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
