Job description

An Exciting opportunity as a Graduate Accounts Assistant has arose within the Fund and Asset Management industry, where they are looking to act on their growth by adding a Graduate Accounts Assistant to their Finance team to support with day-to-activities. The Graduate Accounts Assistant is a key member of the team which contributes to the operational support and administration of nominated Funds and Group entities by processing and monitoring of all payments and receivables across a number of trading companies.

Responsibilities as a Graduate Accounts Assistant

  • Processing and posting of purchase invoices and payments
  • Ensure all filing of Fund and project documents are completed (Sales Invoices, Expense Invoices, Bank statements, Vat returns)
  • Raising and posting deal/ project related sales invoices and cash receipts
  • Monitoring receivables and highlighting recoverability issues
  • Assisting with the collection of outstanding receivables
  • Timely updating of Revenue tracker documents by project
  • Assist with the process and checks for Fund Close and share allotments
  • Resolving ad-hoc project queries
  • Management of Fund/ Project Cash Balances
  • Timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Timely and accurate processing of transactions across designated Group entities
  • Year End Statutory Reporting
  • Provision of Further Ad-hoc Tasks

Requirements to be successful in this Graduate Accounts Assistant

  • 2:1 or above at degree level, strong A levels and GCSE's
  • Looking to start Accounting qualification (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
