Due to the continues growth, they require an energetic Group Financial Controller to join the finance team on a temporary to permeant basis. This team member will be involved across all activities of the function, including:

The successful applicant will:

• Effectively manage the financial reporting process and influence the overall hotel performance
• Ensure the integrity and viability of business proposals, short and long term, and prioritise resources to optimise the divisional performance
• Ensure the provision of strong governance controls
• Be the commercial conscience of the Leadership Team and assist in transformational projects
• Initiate and maintain effective control procedures to ensure all assets, liabilities, income, and expenses are accurately recorded
• Preparation, review, and analysis of daily, weekly and end of period management reports
• Compile and analyse financial information
• Analyse and control expenditures of all departments to ensure compliance with budgetary requirements
• Collaborate with each department head on the financial performance of their outlets
• Completion of budgets and forecasts
• Mentor and motivate Finance Team members
• Ensure a continuous training program for all Finance staff

Skills/background of the candidate:

• Experience in integration and implementation of new businesses
• Good understanding of Finance processes and the link to systems
• Good understanding of governance & controls

Desired:

• Experience working for a residential business, preferably Hotels
• Qualified Finance professional
• Experience in developing, managing controls and governance of a system
