Our Client seeks an experienced Group Management Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Group Accounting the role will have a broad remit, supporting and providing robust financial analysis and preparing monthly management accounts for all entities within the Group. Experience with large volumes of data and multi company/location is essential. The Group Management Accountant will be involved in ensuring financial statements are up to date including monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assisting in the preparation of Group board reporting packs. The role will support the streamlining of financial processes and the continuous improvement of the ERP system.

Duties of the Group Management Accountant include:

• Supporting the timely preparation of monthly and weekly Group financial reports including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Full ownership of areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet, providing detailed analysis and commentary.
• Responsible for reconciling intercompany accounts.
• Support providing forecasts and budget information to the key stakeholders in line with the timetable and working with the FP&A manager.
• Calculating prepayments and accruals.
• Conduct regular meetings with cost centre owners to review their monthly results including providing detailed analysis and commentary.
• Supporting the on-boarding of acquisitions into the finance system and processes.
• Supporting the external audit and preparation of the Group's statutory accounts.
• Supporting the preparation of group tax information.
• Identify areas for process improvements and automation; support the implementing of streamlined financial process and procedures.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support key business decisions and drive financial performance.
• Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop and monitor financial plans, budgets, and cost-control measures.
• Assist Group Financial Controller and Group CFO with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Support the development of Finance team members.
• Support UAT testing of system changes effecting finance.

Requirements for the Group Management Accountant include:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or Part Qualified at final exam stage.
• 5 years plus general ledger experience
• Experiencing preparing management accounts
• Experience in Group Finance function
• Experience of supporting multiple finance systems and projects
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proven demonstrable background collaborating with a senior team.
• Proficiency of creating analyses and interpreting financial information
• Energetic, detail oriented, with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
