Job description

Prestigious international bank based in the City are looking to recruit a Head of Transaction Management to join their newly created Middle Office Department in London.

Main responsibilities will include;

  • To support on all approved loans and other facilities that they perform in accordance with the agreed terms of sanction, including:
    • Adherence to the terms of any legal agreement / facility letter
    • The monitoring of covenants
    • The monitoring of security valuations
  • Ensure all terms and conditions attached to client loans and other facilities operate within the agreed parameters and, if this is not the case, to escalate, through the established channels, to the relevant Relationship Manager and Credit.
  • Support the maintenance of a database of all terms and conditions attached to client facilities
  • Adhere to the established process to ensure that these terms and conditions are adhered to at all times
  • Operate within the established line of communications for contact with the Relationship Managers and the Credit function to report any potential or actual breach in the agreed terms and conditions
  • Adhere to the established processes and procedures for the monitoring and valuation of any form of security in which the branch may have an economic / legal interest

To be considered for this position ideal candidates must have the following experience/skills;

  • Undergraduate degree, and professional finance qualifications
  • Relevant experience in the banking sector with specific Middle Office experience in transaction monitoring and transaction documentation & security valuations
  • Relevant Product and Security Documentation knowledge - particularly in relation to Trade Finance and Real Estate (Residential and Commercial)
  • Strong credit, analytical and presentation skills
