Job description

A great opportunity for an HR Assistant to join our client, a global insurance company. As HR Assistant you will provide HR support on all operational elements from on-boarding, job change, family leave through to leaving.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, enthusiastic individual who is suitable to a fast-paced environment, looking to take the next step on their HR journey and to join a growing team within the clients Bedford office.

This is a hybrid position based in their Bedford office with a salary up to £29,000. The client offers great benefits including Medical insurance, Well-being packages plus more!

Responsibilities of HR Assistant

  • Initiates processes on behalf of the business, including job changes, contingent workers and leaver requests.
  • Works with the Recruitment team to ensure the applicant through to new starter process is managed efficiently and provides a great candidate experience.
  • Run analyses and validate data ensuring job details are correct
  • Supporting the business with any Workday training needs, promoting self-service capability.
  • Attend employee relation meetings, to take notes and circulate actions.
  • Welcomes new starters to the business and proactively supports induction and introduction sessions.
  • Completes exit interviews with leavers, managing insights and feedback as required.
  • Supports the annual compensation review process, restructures, acquisitions and other HR related business activities.

Skills of HR Assistant

  • Previous experience in an HR Generalist, fast-paced position
  • Experience using HR Systems, Workday experience desirable
  • Ability to work well independently with confidence
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver with resilience, initiative and ability to challenge the status quo
