HR Manager - £45,000


My client who are an International Media Firm based in the heart of Central London are on the hunt for someone to join their growing team as HR Manager. You will be the number two to the Head of HR and get involved in exciting projects to drive people forward. This will be a very hands-on Operational role!

You will manage and maintain the relationships between the employees and the business, ensure that all staff are compliant with Company policies and procedures. Oversee the employee lifespan from hiring through to exit and provide cover for Head of HR where necessary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships across the Group
  • Deal with general HR enquiries from staff and management
  • Administrate grievance and disciplinary process
  • Administrate Performance Improvement Plans
  • Manage Company family friendly policies
  • Maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies
  • Assist hiring managers with creation of job descriptions and advertisements
  • Conduct interview process
  • Undertake background checks
  • Support HR Administrator on producing employment contracts and contract variations
  • Conduct exit interview process
  • Liaise with Line Managers and Payroll to administer severance
  • Manage notification of termination paperwork
  • Ensure HR systems are updated
  • Facilitate redundancy process - escalating to Head of HR for difficult, senior or sensitive redundancies
  • Support business heads with business cases for restructure
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date with current legislation
  • Provide support to Management to ensure all staff comply with company policies
  • Responsible for updating policy and procedure changes are updated on the company intranet
  • Responsible for ensuring the HR database is up to date
  • Facilitate Line Managers training needs for their teams
  • Investigate training courses as and when required
  • Implement and manage Work Experience programme
  • Manage HR training presentations alongside Head of HR:
    • Policies & procedures
    • Market changes
    • Legislation updates
    • Benefits masterclasses

  • Manage annual diversity survey
  • Facilitate survey application
  • Analyse results
  • Produce annual report
  • Ensure all staff comply with Diversity policy

Ideal candidate will have worked within Media and had management experience.
