Job description
Our client, and leading Insurance company are looking to hire a HR Team Leader to join their growing HR team based in the City of London.
This is a great opportunity to support the business whilst they transform their delivery of HR Services to the business. You will ensure the delivery of a great people experience which attracts, grows and retains the best of people.
Responsibilities as the HR Team Leader:
- Manage the daily workload and tasks effectively, to meet and where possible exceed expectation on service and SLA.
- Ensure the team received the right training to be able to meet and exceed role requirements.
- Create management information to review workload, productivity and accuracy.
- Support the annual calendar of events and ad hoc projects, ensuring resources and processes are in place to meet expectation (e.g. annual salary review and acquisitions).
- To support the planning and delivery of key business projects as directed.
- Manage escalations and make decisions on requests which are outside of process or policy, works with the business to outline and manage risks.
- Works closely and seamlessly with Payroll to deliver the best service to meet payroll deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with the HR centres of excellences, HRBP, HRIS, reward, change, payroll, learning and recruitment teams. Able to challenge constructively and minimise duplication of effort.
- Make appropriate decisions and use own judgement on work prioritisation.
- Work within GDPR guidelines, managing people data requests and the confidentiality of data.
- Contributes to wider projects and initiatives within HR, driving process improvements, automation and efficiencies.
Skills required as the HR Team Leader:
- Excellent HR Administration, organisational and data entry skills with strong attention to detail
- HR Shared Services background (desirable).
- Workday system experience (desirable).
- Proven understanding of end-to-end HR processes, policies and procedures.
- Ability to identify and resolve potential problems or issues and take necessary actions to prevent them from developing.
- Proactive and practical approach to problem solving with the ability to identify areas for improvements in process, services and ways of working.
- Highly organised with ability to plan, delegate prioritise and multitask daily workload.
- Able to train team members to improve performance and develop skills.
- Works well in a demanding, fast-paced environment, managing conflicting demands, with excellent task and time management skills.
- Ability to work within a team and on own initiative, providing support to team members and where needed
