Job description
A well-established organisation based in Norwich is looking to appoint a Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a newly created role due to continued growth and offers an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to step into a No.2 position within a regional finance team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be part of a team of five and play a key role in providing financial insight, supporting decision-making, and contributing to the overall performance of the business. The role also offers clear future progression opportunities to Finance Manager / Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and forecasts
Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, with clear and concise commentary
Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Providing cost analysis and commercial insight to the management team
Supporting and providing cover for Finance Assistants where required
Reviewing and improving reporting and finance processes to maximise efficiency
Assisting with any other accounting duties as required
The Ideal Candidate:
Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) and actively studying
Previous experience within a finance or management accounting role
Experience within manufacturing, construction, or a similar heavy industry would be advantageous but not essential
Strong Excel skills and high level of computer literacy
Commercially aware with strong analytical and communication skills
Experience using COINS accounting software would be beneficial
