Operations Analyst - International Bank
Position: Operations Analyst
Location: London
Employment Type: Full-Time
On behalf of our client, a renowned international bank, we are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Operations Analyst to join their operations team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a global financial institution, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of operational processes across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Processing & Monitoring:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including payments, trades, and settlements.
- Monitor transactions to identify discrepancies or delays and resolve issues promptly.
Data Reconciliation:
- Perform reconciliations of various banking systems, ensuring alignment with internal records and external counterparties.
- Investigate and resolve transaction breaks or errors in a timely manner.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate and review operational reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions and operational activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure that all operational activities comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Identify potential risks and assist in the implementation of mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Interaction:
- Collaborate with various internal departments such as front office, risk, legal, and IT to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide support and respond to inquiries from clients, counterparties, and other external partners.
Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify and propose opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Support the implementation of automation tools and operational system upgrades.
Key Skills & Experience:
Education:
- A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ Yearws in an operations or back-office role, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with trade processing, settlement operations, and financial products is preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and banking systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders.
