Operations Analyst - International Bank

On behalf of our client, a renowned international bank, we are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Operations Analyst to join their operations team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a global financial institution, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of operational processes across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing & Monitoring:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including payments, trades, and settlements.
  • Monitor transactions to identify discrepancies or delays and resolve issues promptly.

• Data Reconciliation:

  • Perform reconciliations of various banking systems, ensuring alignment with internal records and external counterparties.
  • Investigate and resolve transaction breaks or errors in a timely manner.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  • Generate and review operational reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions and operational activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all operational activities comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Identify potential risks and assist in the implementation of mitigation strategies.

• Stakeholder Interaction:

  • Collaborate with various internal departments such as front office, risk, legal, and IT to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide support and respond to inquiries from clients, counterparties, and other external partners.

• Process Improvement & Innovation:

  • Identify and propose opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of automation tools and operational system upgrades.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Education:

  • A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 3+ Yearws in an operations or back-office role, ideally within banking or financial services.
  • Familiarity with trade processing, settlement operations, and financial products is preferred.

• Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and banking systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders.
