Job description

Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly management accounts with commentaries for the Property Management / Investment companies in the business
  • Analysis P&L, legal and professional, repair and maintenance costs
  • Liaising with the auditors at year end, ensuring audit deliverables are completed timely
  • Support finance team with ad hoc queries and reporting
  • Continuously seeking to improve current processes and procedures
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Banking and posting payments to various tenants accounts
  • Generating BACS and Cheque payments to contractors and suppliers
  • Uploading payments and allocating them to contractors and suppliers accounts
  • Ensuring rent received are allocated to tenants' accounts promptly and reporting daily on late/overdue rents
  • Daily rent receivable reconciliation highlighting late and overdue receivables
  • Updating and circulating daily tracker
  • Raising tenant demands, reconciling all agents ledger on a monthly basis
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Posting payroll, accruals and prepayment journals.
  • Reconciling VAT control accounts monthly
  • Reconciling all control account monthly
  • Dealing with all local authority queries
  • Dealing with all utility queries

Requirements

  • CIMA/ACCA - actively studying towards
  • Degree level educated (2:1 or above)
  • Property experience strongly preferred
  • Strong preference for prior experience in Management Accounting roles and experience in working as part of a wider high performing team.
  • Strong financial system & data analysis skills - utilising financial data systems (YARDI)
  • High energy, high ownership of work product and commitment to driving results
  • Time management skills
  • Good problem-solver, using logic to work through problems and analyse information
  • Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development
