Job description
My client, a leading financial institution based in London, is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Administration Officer to join their Credit Administration Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the loan administration of a diverse portfolio of assets, including bilateral, syndicated, and sub-participated loans. You will ensure the accurate processing and monitoring of credit transactions throughout the product lifecycle and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Administration: Oversee the administration of a portfolio of loans, ensuring timely and accurate processing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Agency Deal Management: Manage agency deals, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Fee Monitoring: Monitor fees associated with both syndication and bilateral deals to ensure accuracy.
- Credit Monitoring: Monitor daily loan administration, including the distribution of notices, tracking late payments, and reconciling with back-office reports.
- Reporting: Maintain and update the daily portfolio report, ensuring consistency between internal systems and back-office records.
- Transaction Processing: Manage the processing of transactions in the credit system, including drawdowns, rollovers, and interest fixings.
- Process Improvement: Proactively suggest improvements to processes and highlight any data quality or procedural issues.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role within the banking sector, particularly with bilateral and sub-participated loans, as well as agency deal management.
- Attention to Detail: A conscientious approach with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines.
- Collaboration: Flexible and team-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
