Job description

An opportunity for a Senior HR Manager to join my client, an established Re Insurance company, as number 2 to the Head of HR. As Senior HR Manager you will line manage a small HR team in the day-to-day operational functions whilst managing all processes and procedures. You will be developing strong business relationships with all levels of staff, senior management, and key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a HR professional with 5+ years HR Management experience ideally within Financial Services / Private Equity.

This role will be based in the office 5 days a week but on return you will be given excellent company benefits; Excellent bonus, 11% pension, 25-38 days holiday, free gym, £600 PT allowance, private medical, private dental and much more.

Responsibilities as Senior HR Manager:

  • Line managing a team of 3
  • Provide a full operational and generalist HR service, including but not limited to the induction process, probation process, recruitment, learning and development, performance, international assignments, projects, HRIS and associated administration
  • Provide employee relations/employment law advice as and when required
  • Provide guidance and advice on employee relation issues including leading and assisting in grievances, disciplinaries, capability processes
  • Assist with ensuring that employee manuals are up-to-date to reflect relevant legislation
  • Assist with ensuring contracts of employment templates are up-to-date and reflect any relevant legislation changes
  • Provide support and advice to employees across the network on human resources policies and procedures
  • Administer various HR Rule processes from start to finish to ensure compliance, including the Consultant Appointment approval process

Preferable experience:

  • Previous management experience
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent
  • Experience in Financial Services or Private Equity
  • Strong relationship management
