Job description
Our client, a West End based Asset Manager are looking to recruit a Settlements Specialist. This is a permanent position within the Treasury & Settlements team. Primary function is to work alongside Treasury Administrator in ensuring accurate execution of cash movements and monitoring of cash balances.
Main responsibilities of the Settlements Specialist will include;
- Setting up cash instructions or releasing cash payments using BNP Paribas NeoLink, ensuring appropriate documentation contains necessary authorisation
- Day to day responsibility for managing any trade fails and cash breaks as well as processing
and managing daily equity trade flows
- Ensure trades are settled in a timely manner and escalate where appropriate
- Ideally, familiarity with derivatives covering OTC Call/ Put Equity/ Currency/ options, Index options, Futures trades including margining
- Must have strong FX knowledge and experience
- Understanding and processing of Corporate Action/ Corporate Governance notifications
- Liaise with BNP Paribas to rectify any cash movement issues
- Monthly stock reconciliations
- Weekly cash flow forecast reporting
- Daily cash management
- Assist wider finance team
Skills/Attributes Required;
- Must have thorough understanding of Global Equity Settlements in preferably all for the following markets: US, Europe, Asia, Brazil & UK
- Forward and spot FX settlement experience
- Excellent attention to detail is a must for this role and well organised
- Experience of/exposure to investments, with a strong interest in developing that knowledge
- Have strong Excel skills, ability to use v-lookup/ Pivot tables
- Good communicator who raises issues promptly to the team
