My Client are an asset management consultancy that provides expertise and infrastructure support to fund managers, investors and other specialists in the asset management industries. Our services include law, investment advisory, regulatory solutions, ESG and responsible investment consulting, IR & Marketing solutions, benchmarking, transition & trading solutions, corporate services, and fund administration.

ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance, known in the financial industry as the three central factors in measuring the sustainability and ethical impact of companies. ESG factors, though non-financial, can have a material impact on the long-term risk and financial performance of a company. Principally, companies that correctly apply ESG are more conscientious, less risky and more likely to succeed in the long run.

They are are looking for a Manager to join our ESG & Sustainability team with a particular focus on ESG Regulation including SFDR and EU Taxonomy. You will be required to lead the design and development of client solutions to meet regulatory requirements spanning both Advisory and platform based approaches. You will manage multiple projects and oversee a team of consultants and analysts, while being involved in all aspects of our analytical work. This is a client-facing role, supporting business development activity, and engagement and strategic guidance for Fund Managers and companies on ESG regulation. Example projects range from the development of Entity and product level SFDR disclosures, Principle Adverse Indicators and EU taxonomy alignment, drafting responsible investment policies and strategies for fund managers and investors and development of sustainability strategy roadmaps for companies and facilitation of ESG strategy sessions with company management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of ESG with a reputation in the market as an ESG expert and thought leader
  • Experience of leading ESG reporting and regulatory initiatives e.g. TCFD, SFDR, UN Principles for Responsible Investment
  • Deep knowledge of the ESG reporting and regulatory landscape as it relates to investment management particularly with respect to EU and UK regulation and its strategic impact on firms
  • Strong report writing and verbal skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Strong project management and client relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Fluent in English; fluent in Dutch a plus
