Job description
KennedyPearce are hiring a Treasury Accountant for a Real Estate business based in London. This role is hybrid working as is a 6 month temp to perm role.
What you'll do
- Responsible for the accounting, and reporting of the financing entities in accordance with Group accounting policies and procedures
- Take full ownership for monthly, quarterly and annual close process for these corporate entities in compliance with both Local GAAP as well as Group GAAP (IFRS)
- Support the design and review of in-house banking set-up to streamline and optimize working capital and payment traffic
- Advise and implement approach to accounting for external debt, bonds, derivatives and other financing instruments
- Ensure all Treasury Frontoffice transactions are confirmed and executed accordingly
- Comply with all local statutory reporting requirements (i.e. VAT submissions; Central Bank reporting; Office of statistics)
- Accurate accounting for all transactions based on agreements, invoices, bank statements, tax assessments
- Work closely with the treasury team to ensure all financing reporting requirements are met.
- Managing the funds flow from new financings to all required entities and accounting correctly with accurate journal entries
- Become familiar with the group structure and intercompany relationships between entities
- Take full ownership to ensure all hedging is correctly accounted for on a monthly basis
- Support the quarterly distribution process
- Other ad hoc projects
What you'll bring
- Your education. You'll be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA professional with at least 3-5 years PQE
- Technically strong accountant with experience working across large multi-jurisdictional structures
- Previous real estate experience with an understanding of what a property rental business means and how it works - desirable
