Trust Supervisor

Job description

Our client, is currently seeking a Trust Supervisor to join their friendly and welcoming team. This hire is due to expansion and growth within the team. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the trust department, which looks after a large number of trusts, deceased estates and high net worth families.

Responsibilities

As a Trust Supervisor you will report to the Trust Partner and Trust Manager. You will provide taxation and general advice regarding trust formation, reorganisations involving breaking trusts and general IHT planning. You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, with appropriate support.

Along with those responsibilities mentioned above you will:

• Possess a high level of technical expertise
• Be responsible for supporting high net worth family groups
• Support the team's workflow, billing and debtors to ensure that key deadlines, including annual accounts and tax compliance are met
• Have direct client contact

Requirements

• Experience as a trust supervisor within a trust team
• Experience of supporting a dedicated team of trust advisers
• STEP membership or willing to study for the qualification
• Experience of supporting high net worth family groups and offshore trusts
• Probate and estate experience (not essential, as training will be given)
• Accountancy or tax qualification or willing to study
