Our client a leading logistics company are seeking a VAT Accountant to join their team. The office is based in Chiswick so the successful candidate must live within easy reach of West London.

To be selected for interview you must hold prior VAT accounting skills, be actively studying towards an accountancy qualification and be a contributing team player!

Responsibilities

• Preparing VAT returns and review junior members of the teams work
• Posting journals
• Monthly VAT balance sheet reports
• Assisting with yearly audit process
• Provide assistance with all tax related queries
• Working with the wider finance teams to improve processes
• Ad-hoc project work

Requirements

• Part qualified and actively studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/etc)
• Logistics company experience is highly desirable and advantageous
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
• Sociable personality
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience in SUN/Oracle Fusion will be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills
