Accounts Assistant - £25,000 - £30,000 Per Annum - Knightsbridge, London
My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant with at least 2 years of experience in Financial Services to join their team and assist the Group Financial Controller of a privately owned Holding Company of a Trading Group. The group is comprised of a number of entities, with a range of investments in both listed and unlisted companies, as well as property and other assets. Role Overview for Accounts Assistant:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and be responsible for recording and reporting transactions for the running of a number of property-based assets, some of which are overseas. This includes the day-to-day running of the AP ledgers, banking for these properties, running spend and analysis reports as well as reconciling intercompany accounts. This role will also support a number of small monthly payrolls and other ad hoc tasks and projects to assist the wider finance team
Duties or Accounts Assistant include:
- Maintaining the purchase ledger
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations across multi-currency accounts
- Maintaining ledger accounts, verifying, and posting transactions
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Making multi-currency payments across numerous bank accounts we hold for the different entities
- Liaising with suppliers and banking contacts
- Preparing schedules, statements, and reports as requested
- Manage monthly credit card statements and expense claims
- Monthly payroll for the family office (input, pension upload, managing holidays sheet, payment of PAYE/NIC)
- Preparation of cash utilisation files for the family office
- Reconcile intercompany accounts
- Other Ad hoc tasks and projects to support the finance team
Skill Profile:
- 2+ years' experience in a relevant finance role
- Experience in Accounts Payable essential
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with managers and colleagues
- Computer literate, competent with MS Office particularly Excel
- Knowledge of Dynamics is preferable
- High attention to detail
- Numerically minded
