Accounts Payable Officer

Our Client is a production company made up of film-makers, artists, and engineers, working at the crossroads of storytelling, entertainment and technology. It employs fifty full time staff, twenty one directors, and hundreds of freelancers each year.

We make documentaries, live experiences, TV commercials, feature films and digital content. We hold several patents and actively develop and license products, innovations, and inventions that push the boundaries of conventional storytelling.

We are looking for a full-time Junior Accounts Payable Officer to join it's Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager.

What you would do:

Accounts Payable

  • Setting up supplier/crew card files within the financial system
  • Setting up talent cards and ensuring tax and superannuation documentation is on file and lodged with relevant agencies
  • Input of invoices for Crew/Supplier in SAP and Yardi on a daily basis
  • Maintaining Accounts mailbox daily
  • Fortnightly/Monthly Credit Card management and reconciliation
  • Payment runs based on production schedules
  • International payments where required
  • Payroll processing for crew / talent
  • Journal entries for payroll to jobs
  • Preparation of superannuation payments for talent
  • Prompt response email queries from production team and external stakeholders
  • Manage communications both internally and externally on prompt and weekly payments
  • Upload payments to bank and manage approvals
  • Production petty cash management and reconciliations
  • Banking requirements - Cheque deposits, cash collections as required
  • Bank reconciliation on a weekly basis

Accounts Receivable

  • Invoicing on request from production team
  • Managing payment dates for upfront payment terms prior to shoots and communicating to team
  • Liaising with Producers on receipt of payment and advising FD on issues
  • Assist in job reconciliations when required
  • Filing
  • Ad hoc projects as required
