A fantastic opportunity has arose within the Financial services sector where the company are looking for a Assistant Accountant who has a keen eye for attention to detail and sees themselves as an Analytical thinker. The Assistant Accountant role will be supporting the accounting functions.

Duties as an Assistant Accountant:

• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Approve invoices for authorisation
• Review the commissions summary and expense summary prepared by the accounts assistant
• Review Vat returns
• Liaise with auditors for annual monitoring, including audit preparation and completing tasks
• Prepare the month end journals, including depreciation, accruals and prepayments
• Complete owed to client reconciliations

Essential to be successful in this job application:

• Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• 3+ year's proven experience in an Accounts advisory role within accounting and finance sector or retail banking
