Job description

An exciting role as a Commercial Finance Analyst has arisen with a Global Media Company based in Central London.

As the Commercial Finance Analyst you will be leading the budgeting and forecasting process for the relevant Commercial areas. The role will include financial analysis and decision support to the relevant Commercial Directors and Finance Directors along with Chief Commercial Officer interaction.

You will also act act as the main point of contact within Finance for the Creative side of the business.

The Role

  • Responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process; including agreeing revenue and direct cost assumptions with the Business
  • Preparation and ownership of presentations and narratives for budget, forecast and quarterly conference call for appropriate areas
  • Maintaining Commercial rolling forecast throughout year for areas of responsibility
  • Working with Strategy Finance to lead the Three Year Planning process for areas of responsibility
  • Ongoing decision support to the Business, including:
  • Analysis by product and client
  • Regional analysis & review
  • Yield analysis by product with impact on strategy and agency contracts
  • Competitive analysis
  • Creative Solutions support and analysis
  • Thorough analysis of deal margins
  • Production of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Design clear and concise reporting format for financial and non-financial audience
  • Development of Business Cases for new products/revenue streams
  • Development of reporting KPI's to align with business focus
  • Liaison with the Peterborough Finance team to ensure accuracy of reporting
  • Liaison with Group Finance on presentation of weekly results and forecast deadlines

  • Experience in managing complex reporting processes involving input from multiple teams and constantly improving efficiency
  • Proven ability to design clear and concise reporting formats for senior financial and non-financial audiences, focussing on key messages
  • Experience in constructing complex & interactive models relevant for decision making support and proactively providing alternative scenarios
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
