DESCRIPTION/ JOB PURPOSE

We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Analyst to work within our Market Oversight Department. The main function of this position will be to assist in the Company's market surveillance and monitoring processes. The position will involve working well as part of a team and also performing both daily tasks and project work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the execution of operational, surveillance, and regulatory-related tasks and procedures as directed
• Preparation of standard reports analysing trading patterns and behaviour
• Assisting in the compilation of evidence for formal investigations
• Data analysis for ad hoc projects
• Advising Members and clients of Exchange Rules and procedures as required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Educated to a degree level or equivalent

• Numerate and literate
• Experience with data handling and analysis
• Understanding of key operational, surveillance and regulatory reporting processes and attendant risks
• Attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to summarize and present work succinctly and accurately
• Team player with ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Sound knowledge Microsoft processing packages (Excel) is essential
