Corporate Communications Specialist - £55,000 - £75,000 plus benefits

Our client, a Global Trading Company based in the heart of the City, are looking to recruit a Corporate Communications Specialist to join their growing team!

You will be developing and maintaining strong internal and external Communications for this Global organisation. You will be leading and developing the corporate Communications functions, ensuring strict deadlines are met with Maximum efficiency and high level of accuracy.

The Corporate Communications function is responsible for the development and delivery strategic planning, development and implementation of all marketing, branding and communications activities at a regional level. The position provides strategic direction and support to colleagues to enhance the quality and consistency of brand activity.

Key Duties:

Corporate Communications

  • Ensure articulation of the Company's desired image and position, consistent communication of image and position throughout the region and communication of image and position to all stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Coordinate the appearance of all regional print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures
  • Plan and manage meetings and promotional events, including exhibitions and employee engagement programmes
  • Co-work with other communication teams within the SC network
  • Support subsidiaries in all areas of communications as requested
  • Management of date to day communications related issues

Public Relations

  • Produce, write, edit and ensure consistency of outbound materials that represent the Company brand including business development collateral, corporate business material, client presentations, advertising
  • Coordinate media interest in the region and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests
    Lead, develop, coordinate and oversee events, content and resource materials to assist businesses in the marketing, communication and positioning of their activities
  • Establish a network of suppliers such as venue managers, designers, video production, advertising agencies and manage those relationships and activities within agreed budgets

Strategy and Development

Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of:

  • Comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations strategies that enhance the Company image and position within the marketplace and with the general public
  • All marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations and events
  • Lead on marketing and communications planning for all businesses in the region and assist in helping to grow the business where possible
  • Discuss and define local brand and customer marketing plans where relevant
  • Develop brand strategy, where relevant - advertising, print, web internal
  • Monitor user feedback, data and behaviour on all our tools and feedback into the strategy and planning and future marketing and communication initiatives
  • Monitor the Company's and competitor activity across all media platforms

Ideal candidate

  • Have 12 years plus experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • Excellent writing ability and able to deliver professional messages clearly and concisely
  • Excellent time management, ability to prioritise, multi-task, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent understanding of the Corporate Communications market
  • Strong experience in public relations, speech and presentation development, write newsletters and prepare ad hoc announcements
  • Ability to develop and deliver online presence
