EVENT MANAGER

3 MONTHS (Temp)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to manage this UK Annual Conference (digitally) for a financial tech company based in the City. You will join a creative and innovative company who love to push data and technology boundaries. Working with the Marketing and Communications team who create integrated communications and campaigns.

You will work with the Events planners, designers, writers, corporate communications professionals, digital strategists, and behavioural scientists in planning the event and possibly be able to assist with other events planned through out the year

Responsibilities
+ You will be contracted to manage the annual conference in the UK (a digital conference using cvent and intrado).
+ You may also be able to assist with additional live events which are planned throughout the year, including: own-hosted conferences, regional adviser forums and roadshows; executive level forums; awards ceremonies; private dining; corporate hospitality
+ Plan strategically targeted agendas with relevant speaking teams,
+ Coordinate, manage and execute invitation process for events and webinars
+ Ensure that contingencies are in place for keynote speakers, live events and other potential last-minute changes that will require you to trouble-shoot and adapt
+ Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure a consistently high-profile and high-quality association for the brand,
+ Collect, analyse and report attendees' feedback and recommend changes to ensure continual improvement and quotes for future promotional activity
+ Events P&L management and reporting
+ Track event marketing qualified leads over to sales team, and subsequent conversion rates
+ Provide accurate and timely event reports

Requirements
+ Previous Event Management experience is essential
+ Previous event planning, promotion and management within the investment industry or general financial services knowledge preferred
+ Proven ability running events through the entire event life-cycle-digital
+ Ability and willingness to plan and execute each event from the ground-up, using a hands-on approach
+ Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal, with the ability to adjust communication style to suit audience. Must be professional dealing with senior stakeholders and able to build rapport in short timeframes
+ Proficient with Microsoft office with the ability to quickly learn new systems (e.g. project management software, payment processing software, email marketing platform etc.).
+ Experience of using event registration software (e.g. Cvent), digital event platforms (e.g. Intrado) is highly beneficial + Experience using email marketing systems (e.g. Eloqua or equivalent), webinar platforms (e.g. Zoom or equivalent)
+ Ability to solve problems creatively with available resources
+ Ability to juggle a heavy workload, often with conflicting timelines
+ Must remain calm under pressure
+ Be process-driven; ability to adapt existing/create new processes to enable efficient output
+ Organised and logical with ability to pay close attention to detail
+ Must be proactive and show initiative
