Job description
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Officer to assist the Events Manager in the organisation of the virtual annual conference of this healthcare membership association. Working with the Practice and Development Team you will assist with the planning / marketing and implementation the company's events programme
You will
- Play a pivotal role to ensure the virtual conference is on time and on budget, updating and maintaining details and be the central point of contact for updates
- Assist with the research and analysis fr the format of the UK and annual conference in 2022
- Work closely with colleagues in the Practice & Development team to ensure the conference project plan is updated, and to source information.
- Liaising with the creative team in the production of marketing material to promote the event to the members
- Attend planning meetings as required, taking notes at meetings
- Manage a busy diary to ensure speakers and colleagues are booked for virtual training
- Update Excel spreadsheet to monitor and assess competition activity
- Update 2022 Calendar of events
- Research options for in-person, virtual and hybrid formats possible under the likely prevailing
- Update and maintain budget details of the event
Skills required
- Preferably you will have a formal event management qualification, or equivalent in experience
- Minimum of 2 years events officer experience
- Preferably virtual or hybrid conference/events organisation experience
- Previous experience in assisting with the planning, budgeting, and marketing of event is essential
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Previous experience of working in a membership organisation would be beneficial
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, principles promoting equity, diversity and belonging
To start: ASAP (min 1 month notice)
Duration: 5 months (until end of November 2021)
Salary £43,000 pro rata
Location: Home Based (may require some attendance in the London office)
